As an Accounting Analyst within our A2R Team you will be setting up a new captive Business Services centre in Bogotá to provide Finance & Accounting (Account-to-Report, Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash) as well as Employee oriented (Employee Experience) services to the regions USA and Latin America.
In this position you will provide support and other services globally. In the Account to Report (A2R) Business Services centre will be covering the following areas of the process: Assets Management, interco accounting, cash accounting, GL accounts closing and reporting. Also, you will be working closely with Finance (Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Internal Control...), other SBS departments, Customer Service and A2R teams in regions / countries.

Main responsibilities:
• Manage activities related to the SAP Shift migration project and attend regular meetings
• Ensure the proper migration of fixed assets and their harmonization across different systems or modules (classes, accounting codes, WBS, internal orders).
• Attend integration tests or mocks during migration projects
• Deliver GL monthly closing & reporting services to SBS USA and Latin America (except Brasil) for Sanofi entities within SBS perimeter as per their respective Service Level Agreements
o Review interfaces that generate automatic postings to ensure that they have been correctly booked, AR & AP sub-legers are closed and close Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
o Request & collect all recurring and non-recurring items, reconcile accounts and post Manual Journal Entries (MJE)
o Prepare management, tax, legal and statutory reporting at Group and country levels:
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis
- Contribute to business reviews
- Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements
- Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs
- Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope and become super-user
- Pro-actively anticipate operational issues and coach junior analysts
- Build, document, and transfer EE Core Model process knowledge (Level 6/7) relating to GL monthly closure and reporting activities.
• Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities
• Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition
About you
- Experience: Experience in working within a Business Services organization, good business acumen, strong problem solving, deductive and analytical skills, ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner (essential), team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with A2R front line teams with an end to end mindset (essential), good communication skills, attentive to customer needs and feedback.
- Soft & Hard skills: Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs, hands on expertise in GL accounting, closing & reporting processes and activities, knowledge of GL accounting and reporting. Hands-on experience of SAP FICO and other accounting related IT tools, knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel, ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner, team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with A2R front line teams with an end to end mindset, good communication skills (advantageous), attentive to customer needs and feedback (advantageous).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- Languages: English level B2

The Finance Analyst is responsible for executing operational controlling activities, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes within the Transversal Spend team.

Main responsibilities:
Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities
Prepare accruals and journal entries. Manage master data in SAP and TM1
Assist in WBS creation and PO monitoring
Prepare basic financial analysis and account reconciliations
Support financial reporting preparation for Controllers and Finance Analysts
Maintain and update master data in financial systems
Support SOX compliance and complete monthly controlling checklists
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned
About you
The incumbent is expected to have solid knowledge of controlling processes and demonstrate the ability to execute financial operations with accuracy and efficiency.
Experience: 0-2 years in finance environment or recent graduate. Basic knowledge of SAP, interest in the pharmaceutical industry, basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, VBA macros, Python), eagerness to learn and apply automation in financial processes, interest in digital transformation and continuous improvement through technology
Soft & Hard skills: Proactivity and initiative, attention to detail, strong teamwork capabilities, willingness to learn, organizational skills, analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation, strong attention to detail for data accuracy and analysis, curiosity to understand financial drivers and business context. Written and oral communication skills, advanced excel skills, ability to learn multiple systems.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
Languages: English level B2
