About Sanofi

We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Together, we put the patient at the heart of everything we do and strive to chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

As an industrial placement student, you will have the opportunity to experience life inside Sanofi, gaining valuable insight into a real work environment before you graduate. You will also build your skills and confidence by contributing to meaningful projects that will make a real difference to patients worldwide.

About Regulatory Affairs & the Role:

Regulatory Affairs sits at the intersection of science, healthcare and business, playing a critical role in bringing medicines and vaccines to patients. Our team is responsible for leading the regulatory strategy and lifecycle management of medicines and vaccines across the UK and Ireland, supporting Sanofi's portfolios in Specialty Care, Vaccines and General Medicines. This includes securing and maintaining regulatory approvals, supporting new product launches, managing changes throughout the product lifecycle and providing regulatory expertise that enables patients to access innovative treatments.

In this Head Office-based placement within the Regulatory Affairs Department, you will gain hands-on experience supporting regulatory activities across a diverse portfolio of products and disease areas, working at the heart of the pharmaceutical industry. Regulatory Affairs is a highly collaborative function, working closely with both local and global colleagues across multiple functions to help bring innovative medicines and vaccines to patients. Through these interactions, you will gain a broad understanding of how different parts of the organisation work together and the critical role Regulatory Affairs plays in supporting patient access to treatments throughout their lifecycle.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop understanding of regulatory requirements through hands-on experience
  • Support the preparation and tracking of regulatory submissions to UK and Ireland Health Authorities
  • Review product documentation to ensure that it meets regulatory and company requirements
  • Maintain and update regulatory databases, product information and registration records
  • Assist with new product launches and lifecycle management of existing portfolio
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams, both locally and globally, to support business objectives and promote a culture of compliance
  • Participate in Team Meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and ways of working
  • Take ownership of specific projects and activities, presenting your work and recommendations to colleagues
  • Support knowledge sharing activities within the team, including supporting the onboarding of future placement students

Please note that this role is for a Head Office placement only and does not include clinical, laboratory or manufacturing activities.
