About the job

The Data Analyst manages data analysis and usage requirements and focuses on data- and integration-intensive initiatives. Primary responsibilities include working with understanding data analysis and integration requirements and guiding solution design and architecture to meet these needs, in addition to core business analyst responsibilities.

Main responsibilities:

• Work with business stakeholders (Global and Country teams) to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality
• Manage requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation processes to capture business and end user needs. Prioritize needs within and across projects based on business impact
• Support business case creation
• Communicate solution tradeoffs to business stakeholders to frame and influence project decisions
• Engage delivery teams to communicate solution vision and priorities
• Promote architectural standards and consistency
• Promote usability standards and design solutions with a high-quality, effortless UX
• Proactively monitor industry, functional, and technology trends to guide business partners on emerging opportunities
• Assess the risks of solution options and develop plans to mitigate them
• Support enterprise digital strategy and organizational change management
• Define, set up, and execute test cases to validate that the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements
• Ensure that data is managed / analyzed in compliance with applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity requirements
• Identify and aggregate data from internal and external sources
• Guide solution design to meet data and integration requirements
• Identify new opportunities to leverage data and to integrate data or applications to enhance business value
• Coordinate with data owners to ensure data accessibility and quality
• Contribute to management of central data stores and metadata
• Provide consultative support and advice on technology projects led by business partners
• Coach employees to make use of technology and information

About you

Experience:

• Close to 5 years of experience as Data Analyst (performed data manipulation, data analysis, master data management) 
• Experience in a healthcare company is a strong plus 

Technical skills:

• Expert in Data manipulation techniques (esp. querying tables with SQL) 
• Manage requirements analysis and documentation processes (Data Models, Process Flow Documents, Confluence Functional Document) to capture business and end user needs
• Strong capacity to develop consistent, clear analysis and report potential issues 
• Data quality audit techniques
• Good knowledge of cloud computing and data storages
• Excel, PowerPoint, Word 
• Project management & support: JIRA projects & service desk, Confluence, Teams 

Soft skills:

• Pragmatic and capable of solving complex issues  
• Ability to understand business needs 
• Main Digital point of contact for Countries during and after Country rollouts
• Share and elicit these processes with Data Engineers and Data Viz Experts
• Define, set up, and execute test cases to validate that the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements
• Good communication 
• Service-oriented, flexible, positive team player 
• Self-motivated, takes initiative 
• Rigorous, attention to detail to map data systems 
• Curious to understand what is behind each data field 

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics 

Languages:

• Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written).
