Sanofi has added two new Evolutive Facilities to our global industrial footprint. These production units (EVF) represent the future of manufacturing. They allow us to increase our capacities while making production more flexible and respectful of the environment.

Fully digitalized, our Evolutive Facilities (EVF) will enable more responsive and flexible manufacturing across multiple vaccine and biological platforms including mRNA, while minimize our impact to the environment. Our EVFs will help improve people’s lives by giving them faster access to more treatments.

Main responsibilities:

The Head of Engineering and Maintenance is responsible for leading and managing the Site engineering and maintenance team to provide all necessary support to ensure the smooth operation of the site. Incumbent is also responsible to lead the implementation of engineering best practices as well as supporting the realization of EVF as Sanofi’s Factory of the Future vision.

Reporting directly to the Site Head, the Head of Engineering and Maintenance will play a key leadership role as part of Site leadership team, providing leadership insight and direction to help achieve Site’s priorities and performances.

Act as Site interface to global and external stakeholders in all engineering related topics and matters

• Implement and ensure efficient day to day site engineering operation and support, ensuring full compliance to regulatory requirement as well as Top Decile reliability performance in the facilities, utilities, and equipment availability

• Management and leadership for Sanofi Tuas Engineering & Maintenance function, including automation, projects, utilities, calibration & maintenance and process engineering function

• Participate as key member of Site Leadership Team by collaborating cross functionality to achieve site priorities and performance

• Build and consistently develop High Performing Team. Drive team engagement and ensure strong succession pipelines

• Evaluate and implement robust engineering practices such as predictive and proactive maintenance and reliability engineering program

• Responsible of site CAPEX and maintenance budget

About You:

• Versatile and Strong technical competency in engineering discipline such as Utilities operation, Automation, CAPEX projects, Process engineering, Calibration and maintenance

• High level of critical thinking and ability to prioritize

• Strong problem solving and decision-making capability

• Strong leadership and management capability

• Adaptable, flexible, collaborative and comfortable with changes

• Strong in communication and ability to inspire

• Proven track record on result delivery

• Min Bachelor or Master degree with a Engineering or Science related discipline

• Min 15 years of experience in maintenance, engineering and project management activities in the pharmaceutical industry

• Min 10 years of people management experience

• Strong understanding of local regulatory requirement with respect to Pharma Manufacturing site permit and licensing needs

• Candidate with strong Automation or Site Digitalisation experience will be advantageous.

• Candidate with strong HSE background will be advantageous

• Actively drive and promote safety culture within Engineering team

• Experience in greenfield/brownfield project startup will be advantageous
