PA China Head plays the crtiral role with strategic and transversal accountability to oversee strategy, planning and execution across key PA topics, including anticipation, advocacy and interpretation of policies ranging from macro-environment, healthcare toSanofi focused therapeutic areas, and proactive engagement with government, institutions, industrial societies and patient groups to establish Sanofi as the most trustworthy partner in China and enhance the strong positioning of Sanofi’s core assets in the market.

This role holds governance for policy advocacy related to both pharmaceutical and vaccine related therapeutic areas (TAs) in China, and oversees patient group engagement under compliance standards, to drive improved policy environment in the specific TAs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Engage externallyin representation of Sanofi among policy conversations under appropriate external settings, including tradeassociations and other policy-oriented organizations, and establish Sanofi as an industry leader to advance the development of biopharma sectors.

• Develop TA-specific PA proposals including patient group engagement and advocacy plan, alliance projectdevelopment and correspondent implementation roadmap to advance Sanofi therapeutic leadership and support achievement of business ambition.

• Conduct strategic anticipation and in-depth interpretation of broad healthcare policies and prioritizeissues that impact Sanofi’s effective business operation both as an innovator and manufacturer of therapeutic healthsolutions.

• Drive internal alignment on key topics through proactive, timely policy sharing as well as concise and in-depth readout to Sanofi senior management from both global and local business teams, to faciliate decision making based on policy impacts under “One Sanofi” mindset.

• Manage high-performing team, support talent development anddrive capability building in PA areas

About you

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or above inbiological, medical, pharmaceutical sciences, public policy, or related field is preferred

Experience & knowledge & Competencies:

• 10+ years in leadership or healthcare policy, advocacy and research, strong commercialization acumen with full understanding of short, mid and long-term business implications of policy

• Strong strategic visions and sound intelligence of the latest healthcare industry trends with holistic picture of China macro-policy evolvement

• Ability to synthesize and then educate groups and individuals about issues in health care and government trends

• Strong influential ability to work successfully in highly matrixed organization

• Change agent, result oriented and willingness to take initiatives to challenge the status quo

• Strong people management capabilities, especially a team with diverse background

• Good capability to learn and adapt to a rapidly changing industry environment and practices

• Business integrity and work ethics

• Good command of both written and oral English
