About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically rigorous individual to join the Delivery and Formulations team as Sr. Research Associate in Sanofi's mRNA Center of Excellence (CoE). This position will focus on all aspects of mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) research and development.

Main Responsibilities

• Support mRNA CoE’s platform development activities for vaccines and beyond. Prepare formulations and perform characterization assays/data analysis with focus on in vivo studies, drug carrier design/development, assay development etc.

• Contribute to the development & writing/reviewing analytical method protocols. Prepare technical reports and presentations for clear communication of scientific findings across interdisciplinary teams.

About You

Qualifications

Required

• B.S./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Biochemistry 

• Must have 1 - 4 years of relevant experience and understanding of nanoparticle drug delivery systems, with focus on nucleic acid delivery

• Must have hands-on experience in formulation work, including but not limited to T-mix, TFF, microfluidics, dialysis.

• Must have direct experience with characterization and assays relevant to mRNA-LNPs, including DLS, zeta potential, Ribogreen, gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis (CE), etc.

• Ability to work collaboratively within group as well as within interdisciplinary teams, with excellent organizational and communication skills

• Capable of managing time effectively, demonstrating the ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously and in a fast-paced setting

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Great to have

• Proficiency in analytical techniques like HPLC/UPLC, DSC, SAXS UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrophotometry is preferred

• Experience in Benchling, JMP, etc. is a plus

• Experience in other non-viral delivery methods would be a plus

• Experience in mRNA delivery for therapeutic applications is a plus
